Visitors to the December meeting flocked in wearing Christmas jumpers and an assortment of festive adornments and Ian Stephens of Lawn Master didn’t disappoint with his eccentricity.
Our sponsors Les and Kevin of ‘not my monkey’ treated us to mince pies ahead of a rendition of the 12 days of Christmas adapted by Simon Gabbitas to include essential business items such as the ubiquitous business card as supplied by our current table sponsors.
This month’s sponsors were Les Jones and Kevin Guthrie who have created ‘Not My Monkey”, a new high end cafe and wine bar with an upstairs AirBnB. They acquired the Harbourmasters building on the wharf which will accommodate the venture together with Inizio Hair Salon which relocating from Stodman Street. Les and Kevin are working with the award winning Charlie Hearn to create something completely different and unique. We wish them luck and can’t wait for it to open.
Shaun Whitting of Price Whiting Hodgson Financial Planning and Chairman of Grantham Business Club was this month,s lucky winner of the business card draw.
Grantham Business Club is geared towards promoting and helping Grantham-based businesses of all sizes to grow and prosper.
It is not a retail focused or town centre-centric club, nor is it a professional services only networking group. It is a welcoming and fun group whose purpose is to provide a forum for local business people to learn from each other, find out about and lobby on key town issues or initiatives and to link-up to the benefit of all.
The club is for every Grantham organisation whatever service you provide, make or sell, and no matter where you do it from – an office, an industrial unit, a factory, a high street retail outlet… even your home. There are no membership fees and no signing-up fees, you simply pay for each event you attend. If you are running, or thinking of starting a business in Grantham then why not come along and join us at our January meeting on Friday 20th January at Kesteven
To register for the meetings, either email hello@granthambusinessclub.com or visit the website – www.granthambusinessclub.com to sign up for meeting updates.
The club is also actively looking for local business people keen to get involved in running the club and to sit on its executive committee. If you have the commitment and enthusiasm we need to help drive the group forward, please email hello@granthambusinessclub.com.

The team at the Everyday Champions Centre have been wonderful for over 10 years but sadly they will no longer be providing conference facilities from the end of December. Moving to the Everyday Champions Centre was a watershed moment for the business club helping us grow our membership and to provide a more professional environment for speakers with all the trapping of a top tier conference centre. A huge thank you to Leanne and Gareth. – we will miss you.
It is also appropriate to give a big thanks you to Peachy Events for AV provision and Martin of Cox Events for his scrummy breakfasts. At least you can now enjoy a lie in!
