A fantastically full room with over 80 guests opened by Chairman Kevin Guthrie at The Everyday Champions Centre, who welcomed not only many well known members but lots of new faces too.

With over 50 years’ experience of working within the public, private and third sector, Jalapeno Business Services has the experience and expertise to enhance current IT & Business services and deliver new capability and ensure continuity of services and performance.
Our Philosophy
We formed Jalapeno Business Services in 2010 with the belief that small and medium businesses will benefit from access to levels of experience and expertise that are normally prohibitive on the basis of quantity and cost.
We want to help others realise the benefits of best practices available to large companies to increase their awareness, efficiency and productivity in the area of IT Management and its alignment to business objectives. We therefore help organisations to:

Over the last 12 years we have supported businesses in many sectors including Construction, Manufacturing, Accountancy along with many others.
The Pandemic allowed Jalapeno Business Services to reflect and go back to our core philosophy of using the IT tool sets within all businesses to enable them to run as efficiently as possible.
We spent a lot of time during the first lock down speaking with as many of our clients as we could, supporting them and discussing what businesses did and may look like in the short and medium term
Many of our clients had taken advantage of the furlough scheme and had furloughed junior staff within businesses, this had the knock-on effect where senior staff then had to take on tasks that they perhaps hadn’t had a first hand view of.
This is where Jalapeno Business Services have come to the fore, we have now had the opportunity to work with senior staff who now see some of the day-to-day inefficiencies within business processes. We work with our clients to realign staff and processes to become more efficient, we have also worked to create new tools to streamline processes, this allows our clients to do more with what they have, strengthening their bottom line leading to more profits.

Charity begins at home
This month we heard from 3 amazing charities as part of our Charity of the Quarter initiative. Each spent 10 minutes sharing the wonderful work that their charities do both locally and in their wider networks. Members had the opportunity to vote for their chosen charity to win an amazing £500 donation from Newark Business Club.

News from Westminster
Robert Jenrick shared with us that Nottinghamshire has been designated as an education investment area, meaning that schools in problem areas will have a focus of retraining and hiring for teachers. There will also be investment into 6th form and post 16’s.
There will be a jobs fair held in partnership with the Job Centre in the coming months, aiming to help local people get back into employment – there are a very high level of jobs available at the moment and Robert is supporting both the local businesses to find employees and local people to find employment.
