On Sunday, August 16th, 2026, the streets of Newark will transform into a sea of running vests, cheering crowds, and—if the local business community has anything to say about it—a major fundraising force for Beaumond House Hospice Care.

At Newark Business Club, we’re incredibly proud that Beaumond House is one of our members. Their tireless work providing palliative care and support to families in Newark and Sherwood is the definition of “essential service.” But with a staggering £2.2 million needed in fundraising every year to keep their doors open, they need more than just our applause—they need our miles.

The Business Case for Breaking a Sweat

The Newark Half Marathon isn’t just for the elite “PB chasers” (though the fast, flat course around Hawton and Cotham is perfect for that). For the NBC membership, it represents something bigger:

  • The Ultimate Team Build: Forget the office away-day. Nothing builds a bond like training for 13.1 miles together. Whether you’re a micro-biz or a major employer like GXO, entering a team is a powerful way to boost morale.
  • CSR with Real Impact: By joining #TeamBeaumond, your business is directly funding compassionate care for local people. It’s a chance for our members to show that Newark’s economic success and community wellbeing go hand-in-hand.
  • Brand Visibility: With the race starting at Hawton Road and finishing in the beautiful Sconce & Devon Park, it’s one of the biggest “shop windows” of the summer. Seeing your team in their Beaumond House running tops is a great way to show Newark what your company stands for.

40 Charity Places – Will Your Business Take One?

Beaumond House has just 40 charity places available for this year’s race. For a discounted entry fee of £15 and a commitment to raise £150, you get the full “VIP” treatment, including a branded running top, training tips, and the loudest cheer squad in the county at the event village.

And don’t worry about those “local villains”—the potholes—on the training runs! Think of them as unofficial hurdles to help you build those calf muscles for the big day.

Be the Momentum

Newark is a town that moves forward. Whether we are building new co-working spaces or running half marathons, we do it together.

Are you ready to represent the Newark Business Club on the start line? Whether you’re running, sponsoring a colleague, or volunteering at a water station, let’s make 2026 a record-breaking year for Beaumond House.
